Are you a researcher with a technological project for the sports industry?
Sportek Hub, the hub of innovation and technology for the sports industry, opens its second call aimed at researchers and research groups in Gipuzkoa who want to explore the commercial opportunities of their sport-tech knowledge/technologies.
The selected projects will have an economic endowment of 15,000€ for the analysis of the commercial opportunities of their proposals, with specialized consultancy.
The technologies must have potential application in areas such as digital sport, health, nutrition and wellness, smart sports spaces and new materials.
The following will be evaluated:
- The degree of development of the technology and its market value proposition
- The team involved in the technological development
- The interest in addressing a subsequent phase of entrepreneurship
After this phase, and if a project is established, they will be eligible for the entrepreneurship programs managed by BIC Gipuzkoa (Prog. Barnetekin/Barnekintzaile – Prog. Ekintzaile/Txekintek), with a possibility of funding of up to 60,000 €.
Who can apply?
- Individual or group researchers from technology centers, CICs, universities, vocational training centers or companies.

- Descriptive report of the project
- CV of the participants
